A story we were born to tell.....
At the age of 21, Gunnedah girl Vanessa Stoykov graduated from journalism school and landed her first job at Investor Weekly Magazine. It was there she first had the fascinating insight that while money and the people in the industry were interesting, finance and the way it was communicated, was boring.
With that in mind she started evolution media group in 1999 at the age 26, with the goal of bridging the gap between a technical industry and the rest of the world. She went about building a dream team of creative storytellers, including her husband, experienced advertising creative, Paul Wodrow.
Together with managing director, marketing expert Marcus Field, and education and sales veteran Garth Hehir, the firm has been lucky enough to attract producers, education experts, production and post production gurus, and talented communicators to help tell the story of financial services in creative ways.
In 2008 the group developed a dedicated education and content community called No More Practice, to help professional financial advisers grow their businesses and assist them in providing clients with great educational insights that weren't filled with jargon. Today the No More Practice community is comprised of more than 30,000 advisers, accountants and brokers as well as experts within the finance industry who realise that by sharing their own knowledge within a broader community, the standard of the whole industry is lifted.
When No More Practice launched a dedicated investment initiative in 2013, The Investment Series was born. It was the vision and belief of our collective managers and guardians - that education could be entertaining - that has enabled the creation of both the show and the learning centre.
